It bears the same name as the hill on which it was built, belonging to Robella, a small municipality north of the Stura torrent. The memory of places here tickles visitors' fancy. Walk slowly and you will discover the 18th-century Church of San Giacomo Apostolo, as well as the imposing Castle of the Conti di Robilant. And then your steps take you on top of the hill. To the casual eye, the Bric Macagnone chapel might look like one of the rural houses so common in the area. But, as you get closer, you will see the value of its simple architecture, which conceals a peculiar and very intricate place. The chapel stands on the exact border between the provinces of Asti and Alessandria, half belonging to one provicne, and half to the other. With your feet in two provinces, you can fully enjoy the entire valley. From here, Monferrato reveals its beauty, displaying one of the most fascinating panoramas of the whole region.
